First, check that your fridge is magnetic. If it is not magnetic or has low magnetism, thin, double-sided tape, placed on the back of the magnet skin works well to stick the skin to your fridge. Walmart, Home Depot, or Lowes usually carries double-sided tape.
The magnet skins will hide scratches, scuffs and rust but not dents or dings. The magnet skins will hug the dents and dings so you would still see them. To repair, smooth out the dents and dings first with spackling paste. let dry, sand smooth, then apply the magnet skin for a smooth solid look. (Walmart, Home Depot or Lowes usually carries spackling paste)

I scratched my new stainless Kitchenaid refrigerator by using the wrong type of scrubby sponge to clean off some splashed food. Bought the skin in stainless steel to cover front only. We used box cutter to cut out door handles, etc. while skin was on table. We learned to just do 1 or 2 cutouts at a time, stick it on, then go for a 2nd or 3rd cutout by marking with white board pen. Our cutouts were for door handles (even after removing) and Kitchenaid label.
Our refrigerator stopped working 2 years ago so we replaced it. Everything was white so we got the white. Now we bought new kitchen. Everything is stainless steel. So we put a skin. For the refrigerator. The brushed stainless steel skin is a great match The product. Easy to cut. Delivery was only 4 days.
Yes, I am very pleased indeed.
I was really excited for this and it did indeed transform my fridge, BUT application was a pain (contact paper would have been probably easier somehow!) and the sides of the large piece wouldn’t stuck down. The color is pretty but is much brighter than standard stainless appliances.
Hi Jillian,
Thank you for your feedback. A few quick tips for next time.
We do offer a non-shiny stainless steel which is less bright than the shiny stainless steel.
Also, the easiest way to apply the magnet skin is to just roll the uncut magnet skin onto the front of your fridge, after removing the handles, line it up, then slice it with a box cutter. No need for a straight edge because you will be using the edge of the fridge doors as you run your box cutter along them, slicing the magnet skin.
It really is that easy!
If the flap doesn't stick to the edge magnetically, a hair dryer or double sided tape should work.
I hope this helps answer your questions.
Thank you,
Joseph
